NCAC Privacy Policy
The National Coalition Against Censorship (NCAC) is committed to protecting the privacy of contributors and visitors to our website, www.ncac.org. This is to advise you about how we handle any information that we may receive, and to provide you with the opportunity to request that we handle any information about you in our possession to your satisfaction. We gather contact information when you contribute to NCAC, contact us for advice or assistance, or attend a public event sponsored by NCAC. We use this information to inform you about NCAC activities and to solicit your support for these activities. We do not collect any personally sensitive information other than information necessary to process credit card payments and donations. You will only receive emails from us if you have a) provided your email address when signing up for membership or for email alerts or b) signed up to receive Censorship News online. All emails sent contain a link to unsubscribe. Other than your name and postal mailing address, none of the information you provide via our website (including your email address) is shared with other organizations or parties. From time to time, NCAC may exchange the names and mailing addresses of our members with other like-minded organizations. If you prefer your name and address not be shared with other organizations, please write us or email info@ncac.org and request we not share any of your information. In order to provide you with better and more relevant information, we compile aggregate information about email responses and website usage. This information helps us to better understand how individuals use our website and how the website can be improved. We retain records of all contributions for tax and accounting purposes and to provide an accurate profile of sources of support.
