Index on Censorship’s major conference on the threats to artistic freedom of expression in the UK will debate the social, political and legal challenges to artistic freedom of expression and the growth of self-censorship in contemporary culture.

At 4.20 – 5.15, NCAC Director of Programs Svetlana Mintcheva will participate in a plenary entitled Do we need a freedom of expression policy for the arts? It wil be chaired by Kirsty Hughes, with Moira Sinclair, Kenan Malik, Erica Whyman, and Mark Sealy.
