The National Coalition Against Censorship wrote to the board of Fort Worth Independent School District urging them to return any books that were temporarily removed from school libraries. The district identified 118 books with potentially sexual or violent content and has removed them to determine if they are “developmentally appropriate.” This removal violates the principles established in the district’s policy.

NCAC urges the district to return the books immediately to circulation while the adjudication process is ongoing.
