My film asks three questions to three people of different professional backgrounds: Why do you like free speech? Should some speech be censored? and What is your opinion on the evolution of speech via new media-related mediums? I set the video to the song “Raining Again” by Moby to set a mood of reflection to the video because I feel the rain he talks about resembles the flood of information and communication we are surrounded by. I decided to make my video in an interview format because of the various, unique, and interesting views different people have regarding the subject of speech and censorship. The people I interviewed were my religion teacher, a video game tools programmer, and a social worker, all of whom I trusted would have insightful responses due to their professions and the contact they have to forms of public communication.
