The National Coalition Against Censorship has written to the school board of Rockingham County Public Schools after school board members voted to remove Tweak: Growing up on Methamphetamines by Nic Sheff, and Perfect by Ellen Hopkins. The School Board overrode the recommendation of a review committee to retain these books and voted 4-1 to permanently remove them.

NCAC is concerned that the board’s guidance for reviewing books is overly subjective and is resulting in the elimination of books that have value for students.
